MEC130   Engineering Techniques and Manufacturing Technology   (20 credits)

Description

This module will introduce students to the fundamental types of manufacturing processes: casting, machining and joining. Different variants of each of these type of process will be explored including current best-practice, capabilities, limitations, economics and typical applications. Students will be given the opportunity to apply this knowledge to the staged manufacturing process they have undertaken in MEC1000.
